WATCH: MS Dhoni gets upset with Dinesh Karthik's unwanted throw costing India a run

The game between India and Afghanistan got tied on Tuesday.

Every run is important in cricket, we saw another example of it in the match between India and Afghanistan. The game was tied after both the team ended with the same score. Afghanistan batted first and scored 252 runs in their 50 overs. During 47th over of their innings, Dinesh Karthik had attempted a nonessential throw which cost them a run. The Indian stand-in skipper MS Dhoni, who was leading India for the 200th time in ODIs, was clearly upset by the needless throw from Karthik.

Dhoni turned towards Dinesh and asked him not to give away free runs. The 37-year-old has always been strict when it comes to fielding. He has been vocal about the importance of being mental, as well as, physically active in the field.

Here, Karthik's throw was unnecessary and that did make a difference in the end as India fell just one run short of victory. They could only tie the game as India were bowled out on 252.

We don't often see Dhoni losing his cool on the field. It was a rare occasion. Here is the video:
