Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in their last Super Four clash at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (September 26). It is a virtual semi-final for Pakistan as they have won one and lost the other in the Super Four stage thus far.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash, Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has made a bizarre statement, saying that the Men in Green will beat Bangladesh and then will take against India in the summit clash.

"Pakistan will win their last Super Four game against Bangladesh on Wednesday," Arthur was quoted as saying by Geo TV.

"They will then take revenge for the two losses against India by beating them in the final," he added.

Pakistan have suffered two humiliating defeats at the hands of India in the ongoing Asia Cup. While Sarfaraz and company lost the group-stage match by 8 wickets to India, they got thrashed in the Super Four round by 9 wickets.

Reflecting on their Super Four clash defeat against India, Arthur stated that their batsmen failed to put Indian bowlers under pressure.

"We could not bring the Indian bowling under pressure with our batting. We needed to take early wickets against India, however, we lost the chance due to our fielding. If we had taken early wickets, the situation would have been different. India outclassed us completely," the Pakistan coach said.

The final of the Asia Cup 2018 will be played in Dubai on Friday (September 28).
