Asia Cup 2018: Twitter applauds Mohammad Shahzad’s 124; Afghanistan makes 252/8

India made five changes as Rohit, Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar, Chahal, and Bumrah got some rest as the team has already qualified for the finals. Deepak Chahar made his ODI debut and Kaul and KL Rahul came in the team.

The star for Afghanistan turned out to be Mohammad Shahzad who clobbered the Indian bowling to all parts of the ground to make 124 runs in 116 balls with 11 fours and 7 huge sixes. He kept going single-handedly, as wickets kept falling at the other end. Mohammad Nabi scored 64 (4 sixes and 3 fours) to power Afghanistan to 252/8 in 50 overs from 132/5.

Twitter was abuzz with activity as Shahzad kept hitting the best of the Indian bowlers to all parts as Deepak Chahar went for 37 runs in his four overs for one wicket on his debut.
