MS Dhoni gave up captaincy in 2017 in limited overs after leading India in 199 ODIs.

But by leading India in this match, he reached the milestone of captaining his country in 200 ODIs. It was a sight that fans of Dhoni and team India missed for a long time since Dhoni gave up captaincy.

When asked about completing 200 ODIs as India captain, Dhoni said, "It's destiny. Good to complete 200 ODIs."
