It would not be wrong if we say, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, the Indian opening batting pair 'murdered' the Pakistani bowling attack in super-four game of Asia Cup 2018.

The two Indian stalwarts came with full force to not allow the Pakistani bowler a single wicket. India chased down 238 runs way too easily. They were supported by Pakistani fielders as well who were very sloppy in the field, dropping catches when it mattered the most.

Talking about the 210-run partnership; their highest ever, Rohit and Dhawan were toying with the Pakistan team. The two were at ease and hardly looked bothered facing the 'best bowling attack'.

After the game, Shikhar and Rohit had a chat with their head coach Ravi Shastri about their innings. Both the openers scored a century. But it was Dhawan who was picked as the man of the match.

In the video posted by BCCI.tv, Rohit revealed he and Dhawan don't talk about cricket after first six overs. They enjoy their game and talk about different stuff.

“First 5 overs we talk about cricket, discuss what we need to do, where we take singles and which fielders we can out under pressure. After that, it’s better to leave Dhawan alone,” he added.

The southpaw was happy with the way they both batted. “They have a good fast bowling attack and we waited for 10-15 overs before going for the big shots. We have played with each other a lot and work on autopilot mode now. Hopefully, we can go on like this in the future and out partnership can continue to serve India,” said Dhawan.

Everyone was a little surprised when Pakistan choose to bat first after winning the toss. Indian skipper Rohit admitted that it was slightly easy to bat under lights.

“The pitch was good and I felt it got slightly better under the lights. The left-right combination helps and playing the new ball was very important. We understood the threat posed by Pakistani bowlers and we kept rotating the strike,” he said.
