Asia Cup 2018: WATCH - Dhoni Review System gets Chahal the wicket of Imam-ul-Haq

Rohit Sharma took Dhoni's help before asking for DRS which got the wicket.

File Pic of MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra ChahalMS Dhoni’s judgment in the Decision Review System is exemplary. When he was the captain, he didn’t use the DRS as a gamble, but as a way of picking up wickets at crucial moments.

Now with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma captaining the side in limited overs; DRS is still taken after consulting with the great man. MS Dhoni usually gets the DRS calls right and we have seen Kohli and Rohit both benefitting taking DRS calls with Dhoni’s input.

In the 2018 Asia Cup's Super Fours clash with Pakistan, India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a straight one to Imam-ul-Haq, who along with Fakhar Zaman, was stabilizing the Pakistani innings.

Chahal and Dhoni all went up as the ball hit Imam’s front pad dead in front of the stumps. Rohit was seen asking for the review, and later replays show that MS Dhoni had nodded in yes before Rohit asked for DRS.

In the end, Dhoni review system prevailed, and Imam was found LBW and India got a much-needed wicket.

Here is the video of Dhoni’s nod before DRS gets India a wicket:
