Asia Cup 2018: Vinod Kambli expressed his happiness over the rise in competition in Indian team

Return of Ravindra Jadeja with an eye-catching performance may bother the other two spinners.

Assuring a place in Indian team isn't easy these days. A player can't relax thinking he has sealed his spot in the side. Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli is happy because of the same reason. He believes the rise in competition in Indian team has helped the team perform better.

Recently, Ravindra Jadeja, who made his way into the side after all-rounder Akshar Patel was ruled out of the side because of injury, gave a robust performance and picked up four wickets.

It was a comeback game for Jadeja. He was coming back after more than a year in the ODI side.

Kambli has already called him dark horse of the Indian team going into the World Cup 2019. While India already has two wrist spinners playing for them it will be interesting to see how Jadeja manages to find a spot in XI as Virat Kohli prefers his leggies over any other spinner.

"I am liking the competition for places in the team. @imjadeja was not even in the squad and he comes back as a replacement and plays his 1st ODI in 15 months and delivers a MoM performance. For me, he is the dark horse leading into the 2019 World Cup. #INDvBAN #AsiaCup2018," he wrote.

India won the game against Bangladesh and Jadeja was picked as the Man of the Match for his 4/29. The conditions are dry and that may give us more impressive performances from Jadeja and other spinners in the upcoming games.
