Afghanistan thrashed Bangladesh by 136 runs in the last group match of Asia Cup 2018 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
After opting to bat first, Afghanistan was in trouble at one stage when they were 7 down for just 160 runs but birthday boy Rashid Khan (57* off 32 balls) and Gulbadin Naib's (42*) unbeaten 95 runs partnership helped Afghanistan to post a good total of 255/7 on a slow pitch.
Hashmatullah Shahidi also scored 58 runs. In reply, Bangladesh looked under pressure from the start and kept losing wickets on the regular interval and eventually bowled out for just 119 runs and suffered a big loss of 136 runs.
