India beat Hong Kong by 26 runs in their opening game of Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and qualified for the Super Four stage.

After being asked to bat first, India started well and was 238/2 after 40 overs but in the last 10 overs, Hong Kong bowlers made a great come back and conceded just 47 runs and restricted India to 285/7.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan played an awesome knock of 127 runs and Ambati Rayudu also chipped in with a fifty. In reply openers Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath gave a perfect start to their team and added 174 runs for the first wicket and at that time Hong Kong were looking good to shock number 2 ranked ODI side but debutant Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav's brilliant bowling pulled things back for India and helped India to clinched a 26 runs victory. Shikhar Dhawan was named Man of The Match.
