As Team India gear up to take on Hong Kong in their Asia Cup 2018 opener, the most senior members of the team – MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma – were seen sweating it out in the nets at the ICC Academy on Monday (September 17).
In a video posted by Indian cricket team’s official Instagram account, Dhoni and Rohit can be seen fine-tuning their batting skills against fast bowlers. In one occasion, Dhoni also stepped out and struck the ball firmly towards the mid-wicket region.

India will begin its Asia Cup campaign against Hong Kong on September 18, a day before they face arch-rivals Pakistan. Meanwhile, Hong Kong had lost their first game to Pakistan on Sunday and thus the clash with India will be a virtual knock out for them.
Rohit Sharma will lead India in the 14th edition of Asia Cup. Considering the draining England tour, the BCCI had decided to rest Kohli from the high-octane tournament. Virat was one of the very few Indian players who played all the matches on England tour.
