Indian off-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has got a new look before the Asia Cup 2018. The trend of breaking the beard reached Indian team after Lasith Malinga of Sri Lanka and Shoaib Malik of Pakistan tried it out recently.

Chahal, who hardly experiments with his looks, was seen getting a new facial look in the video he shared on Twitter.

The former professional chess player wrote, "#Breakthebeard is like a game of chess. You check what your mates are doing and then take them out. Breaking boundaries and looking good at the same time.  #newlook #AsiaCup2018 #Dubai."

India is gearing up for their first game against Hong Kong on September 18. Their real challenge is Pakistan and the arch-rivals will lock-horns on September 19. They last played each other in finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, which the Sarfraz Ahmed-led side won easily.

Recently, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag had said that the role of Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal will be key in UAE. It will also be the real test of both the spinners as they will be bowling against spin friendly nations.

"Kuldeep (Yadav) and (Yuzvendra) Chahal have been quite successful over the past year or so but during the tournament, it will be challenging for them to prove themselves against subcontinental batsmen who have been playing spin since they were kids. India can't rely on the fast bowlers to take wickets as the surfaces in UAE are going to be pretty flat with almost no assistance for the pacers," Sehwag said.
