Asia Cup 2018: "MS Dhoni is India's go-to-man," says the comeback man Ambati Rayudu

Virat Kohli won't be playing the Asia Cup 2018. India will be led by Rohit Sharma.

MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu will be seen in the blue jersey again in the Asia Cup 2018 after a long time as he cleared the yo-yo test. He couldn't be a part of India's tour to the United Kingdom earlier this year as he failed to clear the said test before.

Rayudu credits Dhoni for his coming back in the Indian team. He also talked about the omission of Virat Kohli from the tournament.

India will be led by Rohit Sharma as Kohli is rested from the Asia Cup 2018. But Rayudu thinks India has still got big names in the side who can help team India to do well. "Obviously, he (Virat) is a big miss and loss to the team. However, we still have enough quality in the team to go out and win," he said.

The 32-year-old thinks India banks on Dhoni as well. He is India's go-to-man as per him. “He (Dhoni) has been India’s captain and always been the go-to man for everybody in the team (Chennai Super Kings)," Rayudu said on Saturday.

"He has helped me a lot in terms of how I recovered this season,” he added.

The 32-year-old had a really impactful Indian Premier League with 602 runs in 16 matches helping CSK to lift the title. His performance in the cash-rich league had made way for him in Indian team but his failure in yo-yo test brought Suresh Raina back in the side as his replacement.
