Jasprit Bumrah, Indian pace sensation and current No.1 ranked bowler in the One Day Internationals, is excited to play in the six-team event and hoping to give his best in the tournament.

The 24-year-old fast-bowler has already landed in the UAE with the Indian Cricket Team for the Asia Cup 2018. He further admitted that the conditions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be challenging but looking forward to give his best in the multi-nation event, starting from September 15 (Saturday).

Bumrah, who has now become an important cog in India's bowling arsenal not only in the limited overs game but also in the Test cricket, has proved his worth with his sizzling fast bowling, would certainly like to take the advantage of such big stage to stake his claim for the ICC World Cup 2019.

Jasprit was quoted as saying by ICC media release on Thursday (September 13), “Being at the top of the ICC rankings is a matter of great pride for me. We will be playing against some leading players and I know the conditions can be challenging but I’m hoping to be at my best.”

Noteworthy, Bumrah has taken 14 wickets in three Test matches against England and his best figure was 5 for 85 in the Test series, which India lost to the hosts 4-1.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma-led Team India will open their Asia Cup 2018 campaign against Kong Kong on September 18 in Dubai, while the defending champions will face their arch-rival Pakistan on Sept 19.
