Asia Cup 2018: "Why no Mayank Agarwal?" Harbhajan Singh upset with the team selection

Harbhajan lashed out at the selectors for goofing up with selection.

Fans were unhappy seeing Virat Kohli rested for the Asia Cup 2018, as Indian team is scheduled to play against Pakistan in group stages and that means they would have witnessed a face-off of Indian skipper with Mohammad Amir. However, this will not be possible as Rohit Sharma is picked to lead the team.

While everyone accepted the fact that it would help Virat's body to ease down a bit after playing continuous cricket and moved on, veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh took out his anger on the selectors. No, the reason wasn't Virat Kohli. He seems to be fine with him given a much-needed rest, but the off-spinner isn't pleased with the omission of Karnataka batsman Mayank Agarwal.

The upcoming Asia Cup 2018 will only see Khaleel Ahmed as a new addition in the Indian squad.

Harbhajan tweeted a screenshot of the team and wrote, "Where is Mayank Agarwal ??? After scoring so many runs I dont see him in the squad ... different rules for different people I guess.."

Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav are coming back to the squad. Rayudu missed the UK tour after failing the Yo-Yo test, while, Jadhav was out because of an injury.

Talking about Mayank, he has had a tremendous outing in the Ranji Trophy 2017-18. With 1160 runs in 13 innings, he was the highest scorer. Even in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he piled up 723 runs in eight innings.

Though, the opener failed in Indian Premier League (IPL), but continued his admirable outing in the India A's tour of England and scored three centuries and a half century.
