One of the fastest pacers of all-time, Shoaib Akhtar has lashed out at England pacer Jofra Archer for not talking with Australian batsman Steve Smith after knocking him down. Jofra was on fire against the Aussies at Lord's. He had no plan to hold back and go easy despite hitting Smith twice.

Smith took a blow on his forearm and later on the neck. The hit on the neck forced him to go out of the play. He later returned and finally got dismissed for 92.

When Archer bowled the bouncer which hit Smith on his neck, the Aussie batsman was on 80. The delivery was bowled at 148 kmph. Jofra was seen having a giggle with his teammate Jos Buttler after the blow, while Smith was lying down on the ground.

Akhtar feels it was evil from Archer to not walk to Smith when the batsman was in pain. "Bouncers are a part & parcel of the game but whenever a bowler hits a batsman on the head, and he falls, courtesy requires that the bowler must go & check on him. It was not nice of Archer to just walk away while Smith was in pain. I was always the first one to run to the batsman," Akhtar tweeted on Sunday.

The scenes were scary, and physios from both the sides had come out to help. Jofra may not have got Smith's wicket, but he played a significant role in it.
