It has become a norm nowadays that the Twitterati dig out old tweets to troll a particular celebrity. And England’s World Cup hero Jofra Archer has been a victim of it for quite some time now.

Jofra, who had a backdated tweet for every occasion during the World Cup, is now grabbing the headlines for his old tweets on Ashes.

With one day to go for the iconic Ashes series, Twitterati unearthed a Jofra tweet from 2015 in which the speedster had written: “Why is it not ashes Yet”.

As soon as the tweet went viral, cricket fans were once again left stunned and started retweeting and liking the four-year-old post. In fact, veteran England pacer Stuart Broad also reacted on the tweet.

“Patience Jof, only 1 more day...” Broad commented.

Jofra Archer’s 20 wickets in 11 innings were crucial to England's maiden World Cup triumph. He was the joint third-highest wicket-taker in the showpiece event and held his nerves in the summit clash against New Zealand which went down to the Super Over.

Thanks to his World Cup heroics, he was awarded a place in the Ashes squad and is likely to make his red-ball debut in the first Test, starting August 1, at Edgbaston.
