Australian opener David Warner has come out hard on the England pacer James Anderson who earlier said that the Australian bowling attack lacks depth. With England 3-0 down in the Ashes series and having already lost the urn, one assumes that these words from Anderson came at the wrong time.

In response, the Australian opening batsman and the vice-captain of the team David Warner struck back at the Englishman. He declared that England isn’t used to producing fast bowlers and hence they struggle in Australia.

Further, he supported his team and mentioned, “Our depth is fantastic, we know what Australian cricket has to offer.”

In the post-match conference after the final day’s play in Perth, Warner had a rough take on his counterpart Anderson whose comment’s against the Australian attack was defended by the vice-captain of the Australian cricket team.

“He talks about us being up all the time when we’re in front but different story there, he was firing shots at the captain apparently, then went very quiet as soon as he saw the wicket was quite flat at the WACA” said Warner.

“Sometimes you pick your times when you want to go at people, sometimes you go into your shell like a turtle. We’ve probably shut them up a little bit at the moment, hopefully, this gets them up and going and they fire some barbs at us because I love that, I love whenever we’re in a contest and I feel like they were quite flat in WACA, that’s for sure” Warner further added.

England are already 3-0 down in the Ashes series and are gunning down the barrel to another Ashes whitewash. With War of Words continuing to come from both the camps, it will be interesting to see to see their on-field tactics when both these teams take the field in Melbourne.
