England cricket supporters club ‘Barmy Army’ was in full flow during the fourth day’s play against Australia at the picturesque Adelaide Oval on Tuesday (December 5). Amidst the intense third session of play, the Barmy Army mocked the Australian skipper Steve Smith for using up all his reviews.

It all started during the 37th over of England’s second innings when the visiting skipper Joe Root was adjudged LBW off Nathan Lyon’s slider. However, Root immediately called for DRS and consequently the original decision was overturned. Following that the Aussie camp panicked a bit and skipper Steve Smith went on to take 2 reviews within 3 deliveries.

At first, Smith asked for a review during the 41.6 overs when Root got beaten by a sharp delivery from Cummins. Hotspot didn’t pick anything and subsequently Australia lost their first review. Just a delivery later i.e. at 42.2 overs, Aussie skipper once again got tempted and signalled for his solitary remaining review. This time it was for an LBW as Dawid Malan missed a straight Hazlewood delivery. Height again proved to be the crucial factor as the ball-tracking missed the stumps and as a result, Australia were left with no more reviews for the rest of the innings.

The most amusing incident then took place during the 54.4 overs when Malan once again got trapped in front. As the Aussies were left with no reviews, they couldn’t go upstairs which resulted in the Barmy Army going after Steve Smith. They collectively made the 'T' call for a review and gave the Australians some taste of their own medicine in their den.
