A collective effort by the Australian bowlers has enabled them to limit England from reaching even close to their first innings total. England have already lost seven wickets in their first innings and are still trailing by over 200 runs in their first innings.

Moeen Ali was dismissed in the 49th over of the England innings when Lyon dismissed him off his own bowling holding on to a blinder. Ali and Jonny Bairstow were looking resurrect the innings and had added 28 runs for the sixth wicket either side of the tea break. The first ball of the over was mistimed in the air as the left-hander looked to take the attack to the bowler. Ali was cautious after that and just to look work the second delivery which was flighted to the leg side.

But he could only chip it in the air which he caught sensationally by Lyon by jumping to his left on his follow through. He was air-borne all the way while diving in front of the non-striker and caught it to send the spectators into a frenzy. Ali was looking comfortable in the middle and even he was shocked after the game-changing blinder was taken.

After being denied by the rain last evening, the hosts came out fired up in the first session against the tentative England line-up on the third day. They bowled extremely well and scalped as many as four wickets to kill any hopes of their fight back in this match. Aussies already lead the series by 1-0 and would love to double it by winning the ongoing one. England, on the other hand, would want to come back into this game somehow and another loss.
