AUS v SA 2018: WATCH- Glenn Maxwell flies in the air to pull off a smooth catch on boundary

Maxwell was most valuable player for Australia in the only T20I against South Africa.

Australia lost the only T20I against South Africa by 21 runs. The rain-affected game was reduced to a 10-over per side game. Batting first Kiwis put up a score of 108 runs. The target turned out to be too much for Australia as they were restricted to just 87/7. Losing wickets at regular intervals didn't allow the hosts to score fluently.

But there was one Aussie who put up an eye-catching all-round performance. Glenn Maxwell was the 'one man army' for Australia in the T20I game against Proteas.

Not only Maxwell was the highest scorer with the bat (38 off 23), he also picked up a wicket being the most economical Australian bowler.

However, what really made the news is his fielding. Maxwell's superman effort to dismiss Faf du Plessis was lauded by all.

It was the final delivery of Billy Stanlake's delivery when the incident happened. Faf tried to send the short ball from Stanlake into the crowd. He pulled it, but the ball was not too high to go over Maxwell's head. Still, the Aussie fielder had to jump in the air before throwing it inside as the momentum took him outside the boundary ropes. Maxwell then easily went inside to complete the catch.
