Explosive right-hander Chris Lynn is extremely determined to put up one astonishing performance in the standalone T20I versus South Africa at Gold Coast on Saturday, November 17, in order to prove a point to the critics who have been after him since his struggles in the ODI series.

Lynn, who returned with scores of 15, 44 and 0 during Australia's 2-1 loss in the ODIs, has batted 16 times for Australia - four ODIs and 12 T20Is, is yet to reach a half-century. He also struggled to get going in UAE against Pakistan, where he didn't go past 20 in any of his three innings.

"Personally I feel like I'm in a good space – I'm hitting the ball well, But that's why it's international cricket, it's the best cricket in the world and if you don't rock up with your A-game, then you're going to get sorted out, and South Africa have certainly been on top of their A-game," desperate to turn things around, Lynn was quoted saying on cricket.com.au.

"I still want to prove my point in (both international and) domestic cricket – every time you step out onto the ground you want to do as best as you possibly can," he continued, "I still feel I've got a lot to offer in international cricket. The dominoes haven't lined up yet but I think it's not far off."

Having made a name for himself in the T20 world and proved domestic list A credentials with 452 runs at 75.33 and a strike-rate of 117.70 for Queensland recently, Lynn also reiterated that the transition and the challenge at this level is sterner for players like him.

He affirmed, "There's no easy overs, no easy games, I'm loving every minute of it. You're working out very quickly who you are as a player, and where you've got to get better."

"You don't get better overnight, I believe, so it's going to take a while to adjust (to international cricket), but the changeroom's happy and we're working our asses off," and signed off.
