Dale Steyn, Lungi Ngidi and Andile Phehlukwayo set up South Africa's remarkable 6-wicket win over Australia in the first ODI in Perth on Sunday. On a bouncy track Faf du Plessis asked Australia to bat first and it paid off when Dale Steyn removed Travis Head and D'Arcy Short in his second over and later Andile Phehlukwayo's 3-fer reduced Australia to 48/5, lower order batsmen chipped in a bit and helped Australia to reach into three figures and eventually they were bowled out for just 152 runs. In reply, Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram all contributed and helped their team to go 1-0 up in this three match ODI series.

6 - South Africa's 6 wickets win is their sixth consecutive win against Australia in ODIs. Before this game they had whitewashed Australia in 5 match ODI series at home in 2016. 

7 - Australia have now lost 7 consecutive ODIs - their longest losing streak in ODI cricket. The previous longest was of 6 ODIs in 1996.

10 - Australia have lost 10 of 11 ODIs they have played this year. Their only win came against England at Adelaide earlier this year in January. 

151 - Imran Tahir (151 wickets) became the 8th South African bowler to achieve the milestone of 150 ODI wickets. He is also the joint fourth fastest in the world to reach this milestone.
