MS Dhoni became the oldest Indian cricketer to win Man of the Series award in ODIs, last week on Friday. It would not have been possible without his unbeaten 87-run knock in the last ODI against Australia. His innings not only made him highest run-scorer for India in the three-match ODI series, but it also ensured India's first ODI bilateral series win in Australia.
Dhoni has a huge fan following and it was evident when the former Indian cricketer was gearing up to bat. The 37-year-old was asked to bat at number 4 in the third ODI. He was already told about it and that is why Dhoni warmed himself up in the dressing room before stepping out in the middle.
Fans captured Dhoni going into the mindset of batting with some shadow practice. The admirers present in the venue were cheering for him from outside and also asked him to play a helicopter shot.
The Jharkhand cricketer may not have played a helicopter shot in his steady innings, but Dhoni made sure he comes back without being dismissed and gifted India a memorable win.
