Indian cricket team will like to bounce back after the defeat in the first ODI at Sydney. The men in blue once again struggled with the bat and except for Rohit Sharma's hundred, no one looked comfortable with the bat.

MS Dhoni did get a half-century, but it didn't help much apart from recovering from the early shocks. India was reduced to 4/3 by Jhye Richardson and Jason Behrendorff inside first four overs. India ultimately fell 34 runs short of Australia's first innings score of 288. 

Skipper Virat Kohli, after failure in the opening ODI, would like to assist the Indian batting line-up which has proven to be fragile time and again without him. He practiced hard ahead of the second ODI against Australia at the Adelaide. Apart from Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal also bowled in the nets for a long time. 

Despite losing the first ODI, India has the opportunity of winning the series 2-1.
