AUS v IND 2018-19: WATCH- MS Dhoni hits indoor nets after rain interruption

Dhoni is preparing hard to perform well in the ODI series against Australia.

Former India captain MS Dhoni who is returning to international cricket after a break had to practice indoors at the SCG when rain played a spoilsport.

Dhoni last played for India against West Indies in November. Later, he was rested from the T20I squad against them and also for T20I series against Australia. It was an experiment by the Indian selectors to try out the emerging Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.

Returning to the side, Dhoni is eager to prove his worth with the bat after being out of touch last year. His performance wasn't notable and he also received a lot of criticism for not giving up his spot to a youngster even after so many failures.

The 37-year-old hit the nets before the first ODI against Australia and a video clip was shared by the official Twitter account of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). They wrote, "When it's raining outdoors, we switch to indoors."

Thankfully the Sydney Cricket Ground has indoor nets facility that didn't affect Dhoni's preparation.
