Indian cricket team created history after winning the 2018-19 Test series in Australia by a margin of 2-1, as the SCG Test was drawn due to constant rain interruption. India won the first and third Test in Adelaide and Melbourne respectively.

The Indian team also retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2018-19 by the virtue of a 2-1 series win after the MCG Test victory.

Cheteshwar Pujara was named the Man of the Match in the SCG Test and the Man of the series for his three centuries and over 500 runs in the series. Virat Kohli became the first Indian and Asian captain to win series down under and created a moment to cherish for generations of Indian cricket fans.

The Indian team acknowledged the Indian contingent present there to support the team and had a ball on the ground. Amidst the celebrations, Virat Kohli was joined by his wife Anushka Sharma and the duo shared an emotional hug on the ground and walked hand in hand with the team.

Kohli also hugged Ravi Shastri in the dressing room and emotions were overflowing as Team India cherished a brilliant start to the year 2019.
