India finished with a draw at the Sydney Cricket Ground(SCG) and achieved a 2-1 scoreline as well as their maiden Test series victory in Australia, to prove the interesting pre-series prediction from the great Anil Kumble absolutely right.

Before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy kickstarted, the legendary leg-spinner had actually forecast country's first ever series triumph down under and also the tally of results in the four-match battle during an interview with CricketNext and how happy everyone is that he just "Knew it all, along!"

Journalist Gaurav Kalra, who had actually interviewed one of Indian Cricket's biggest matchwinner in the history of the game, even posted transcripts of their dialogue from the chat over Twitter.

"Before the series began, we asked @anilkumble1074 for his series scoreline prediction on @cricketnext - wonder what we should use his powers for next!," he wrote in the caption.

Once Rahul Dravid said that no one worked harder for India's success in Test cricket than Anil Kumble, who retired from the game in 2008 with a slight bit of pain to have never won a series in Australia. Hence, this must have made the "jumbo" delighted and grin with immense pride.

Well, those feelings were perfectly echoed by Indian skipper Virat Kohli during the press conference on Monday, January 7, in Sydney and he said, "When you work hard and prepare for something, as a team we want results. In the last 12 months, the number of tosses we have lost, if you really want to see our performances in them, you will understand what kind of cricket we have played. The tosses that we have won, in those games the oppositions haven't come close to us. I am not saying it in arrogance but we believe so much as a team that we can beat anyone anywhere."

"We knew that as a team and eventually when we have won the biggest series in Indian history, we can't express how happy we are that everyone's hard work has reaped rewards in Australia and we did what no other team before us could do. As I said, this is the proudest moment for me since the time I have been playing."
