Shane Warne congratulated Kuldeep Yadav for scalping his maiden five-fer away from home and lavished huge praise on the youngster for making rapid progress in the craft. The legendary leg-spinner complimented India's classical wrist-spinner on the day he became country's sixth bowler to pick up a five-wicket-haul in Australia.

Kuldeep simply mesmerised the Australian batsmen with that beautiful drift in the air and dip on the surface before returning with innings figures of 5/99 to help India bowl the hosts out for 300 taking a huge first innings lead of 322 runs and enforcing the follow-on in Sydney.

This is now Kuldeep's second five-fer in Test Cricket after he recorded his maiden one against West Indies at Rajkot last year.

The 24-year-old, in fact, brought an end to the 64-year-long wait as he became the second left-arm wrist spinner to bag a five-wicket haul in Australia after England's Johnny Wardle, who took 5 for 79 at the iconic SCG during Ashes in 1955.

Kuldeep later said it is a really special occasion for him as it coincided with the presence of his idol, Warne, in the commentary box. Before the master followed with his own response.

"Well bowled and congrats on your 5 wicket haul Kuldeep. Also thank you for your very kind words - it’s been a pleasure to work with you & watch you bowl my friend!," Warne wrote over Twitter.

Hopefully, this is just the start of bigger and better things for India's limited overs match-winner, Kuldeep, at the Test level.
