AUS v IND 2018-19: Cricket fraternity in awe of a responsible 159* from Rishabh Pant at SCG

India started their day from 303/4 and soon Pujara reached his 150 and was joined by Rishabh Pant at the fall of Vihari’s wicket. Initially, Pant played a supporting role to Pujara, but after Pujara was dismissed seven short of his double century; Pant took the role of aggressor in the company of Ravindra Jadeja.

Pant reached his second Test century in 137 balls and his 150 in 185 balls, becoming the first Indian keeper to score a century in Australia and registered the highest score by an Indian keeper outside Asia. At 21 years and 92 days, Pant also became the second youngest Indian to score a ton on Australian soil.

His 159* enabled Virat Kohli to declare the Indian innings on 622/7.
