Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins' fightback in the third Test, which Australia lost, made the fans ask him to become Prime Minister of the country.

Cummins was lone ranger for the hosts, picking up nine wickets in the match and hitting a career-best 63 in second innings of the MCG Test. However, he found no support and Australia lost the game by 137 runs.

Cummins, the second highest wicket-taker in the series for Australia, was asked to become the Prime Minister by the fans. He was even lauded by the PM of Australia Scott Morrison.

On which, he said, "I don't know about that. I think his job is a lot more stressful that what I have to do. I think it's the only time of the year he gets to turn on the TV and watch cricket, so I don't think, I'd like that job."

Cummins has taken 14 wickets in this series and also scored 138 runs. More importantly, he has faced 402 balls being a number 8 batsman.

Australia will need another dominating performance by Cummins in the last match and with the support of others, they may level the series.
