Ball tampering trio will be "welcomed back with open arms", says Aaron Finch

Australia are definitely missing the experience and ability of Steve Smith and David Warner.

Test opener and limited overs skipper Aaron Finch has said that Australia will be welcoming the banned trio from the ball-tampering saga "with open arms" whenever they resume their sojourn for the country.

Banned by Cricket Australia(CA), Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft continue to receive widespread criticism but the hosts dressing room is definitely missing the experience and the prowess that they bring to the table.

This is where Finch reaffirmed that Smith and Warner will have earned their Australian recalls when they return at the end of home summer.

"When Davey and Steve are ready to make they're - be allowed to come back and play cricket for Australia and their states - from my point of view they'll be welcomed back with open arms," Finch said, "Whatever's happened, has happened. The punishment has been dealt."

"They've been working really hard off the field to meet every criterion, and go above and beyond everything that has been asked of them, to come back and play international cricket again."

Australia has been bowled out for just 151 in the first innings of the ongoing Boxing Day Test against India at the MCG, giving away a huge lead of 292 runs to the Virat Kohli led visitors.

They are in an alarming need of their best and most capable batting line-up being put on the park in order to better compete at this level.
