AUS v IND 2018-19: Mitchell Johnson faces fans' backlash on Twitter after calling Virat Kohli silly

Johnson wrote a column calling Kohli disrespectful and immature.

A column by former Australian cricketer Mitchell Johnson against Indian captain Virat Kohli has left Indian fans fuming. Johnson called Kohli disrespectful and silly as he didn't make eye contact with Australia's leader Tim Paine after India suffered a 146 runs loss.

"At the end of the match, you should be able to look each other in the eyes, shake hands and say 'great contest'," he wrote in a column for Fox Sports. "Virat Kohli could not do that with Tim Paine, shaking the Australian captain's hand but barely making eye contact with him. To me, that is disrespectful.

"Kohli gets away with more than most cricketers simply because he is Virat Kohli and he gets placed on a pedestal but this Test left the Indian captain looking silly," he added.

Johnson has always been after Kohli. He also wrote about his clash with the 30-year-old in 2014-15 where the pacer said he lost admiration for Kohli after what he said to him post-match.
