Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon continued his dominance over the Indian batsmen on Day 4 of the ongoing second Test at Optus Stadium in Perth.

Lyon picked up a wicket on the first ball of his 4th over in India's second innings. He invited Virat Kohli for a drive with a flighted delivery as the ball got an edge off the Indian captain’s willow and Usman Khawaja plucked a sharp catch at first slip. The wicket was a huge blow for India as Kohli (17) was the in-form batsman after hitting 123 in the first innings.

Soon after Kohli’s dismissal, Lyon got rid of the well set Murali Vijay for 20. The Indian captain was taken aback by a delivery which turned sharply to rattle the stumps. Lyon had also demolished the Indian batting line-up in the first innings by claiming 5 for 67. Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah were his victims in India’s first innings.

Twitter experts were mighty impressed with the way Lyon dented the visiting batting line-up on a Perth pitch which was supposed to be conducive only for the fast bowlers.
