Australian pacer Mitchell Starc was not looking in fine form during the first Test against India. That had made the former Aussie cricketers to criticize his body language. 

Ex-Australian spinner Shane Warne wasn't pleased with his performance this year. “Mitchell Starc strikes me as the type of guy — a bit like Glenn McGrath — the more he bowls the better he gets,” the former Australian leg-spinner said on Fox Sports. “He just finds that rhythm, he’s a real rhythm-type bowler and once he gets into that rhythm he’s lethal.

“I just reckon this year he’s struggled a bit because he’s had a lot of time off.”

If that wasn't enough, he wrote that Starc is in extremely poor form in a column for News Corp, saying the pacer would struggle to get a place in Test XI unless he improved in Perth. This is not the first time Warne has gone against the lanky pacer. Four years back, Warne had labeled Starc "soft" after he struggled in torrid conditions in Brisbane.

Responding to Warne, Starc said he "may as well retire" if he listens to the former Aussie leggie. "I still don't know what he said," Starc claimed on Fox Cricket.

"I've been told about it but, if I keep listening to Warney, I may as well retire. I'll just keep going about my stuff, as I have done over the week."

Starc picked up 2/79 in the first innings and one in the second till now. Australian skipper Tim Paine spoke on Starc's form. 

"I think the criticism he's come under this week has been pretty unfair, to be honest," Paine said.

"He swung the ball in Adelaide, which he didn't do in the UAE.

"One thing I know about Starc is when he cops a bit of criticism, normally he takes it pretty personally and that sometimes gets the best out of him."
