Mitchell Marsh's light moment with the umpire left everyone laughing during the fourth innings of the second Test. While there is a fiery battle of bat and ball going on in the middle, Marsh tried to give us a laugh.

During the Indian second innings, Marsh went to the umpire and handed over his cap pretending like he is going to bowl next. But umpire Chris Gaffaney suddenly realized he isn't even in the playing XI. Gaffaney returned the cap and Marsh had a laugh about it, so did fans.

Here is the video:

Marsh has been released by Cricket Australia (CA) to play for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League (BBL). The eleven Aussie players for the third Test won't be available for the Big Bash League from December 22 to 24.

Marsh wasn't expecting to get dropped in the first Test and it had shattered him. "I was obviously very disappointed to miss out in the first Test but I understood the reasons why," he said.

"Ultimately, you've got two ways to go about it — you can either sulk and go into your shell or you can put a smile on your face and enjoy the hard work, enjoy the challenge of getting back into that Test side.

"Every Test match you miss out on – it's shattering. I got plenty of messages of support. I cop a fair bit but I do have a lot of people who care about me and always have support for me."
