Mohammad Shami picked a career best 6/56 | GettyMohammad Shami continued his penchant for picking wickets in the second innings as he hastened the demise of Australian second innings with career-best figures of 6/56.

Australia began their innings on day four from 132/4 and went on to register 243 with Khawaja making 72 and Paine making 37. However, despite the batting effort, Shami was in the forefront in the second innings, taking wickets of Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Travis Head, Tim Paine, and Nathan Lyon.

Shami was brilliant with the ball, getting it to move both ways and getting the bounce to unsettle the batsmen. India was set a target of 287 runs to win the second Test at Perth and go 2-0 up in the series.

The cricket fraternity praised Shami for his brilliant bowling and took to Twitter to laud him.
