Australian bowler Mitchell Starc has received a lot of criticism from all quarters of the cricketing fraternity including Shane Warne, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich and Mark Waugh for his ordinary bowling in Adelaide.

And now, the star Aussie pacer came out to respond to the harsh criticism as Fairfax Media's Andrew Wu reported that “Starc is believed to be furious over the latest bake from Warne, having already been criticized this week by former selector Mark Waugh and pace legend Mitchell Johnson.”

Following Australia’s 31-runs defeat in the first Domain Test against India, Warne labelled some of Starc's work "atrocious" while Johnson questioned Starc's body language and Waugh said he didn't believe the left-arm bowler had bowled well for 12 months despite the speedster finished with 5 scalps with 3/40 in the second innings in Adelaide.

Reportedly, Starc has never forgotten Warne's famous criticism that he was "soft" and is privately "furious" about the ongoing comments that have concerned his selection for the rest of the Test series.

Speaking to Fox Cricket's Mark Howard before Perth Test went underway on Friday, “Bar about three overs I was pretty happy. Stuck to my plans, did my role for the team. I've worked on my consistency over the last few years and my economy rate was the best its been for three years so that's something I've tried to work on for a few years and it's great to see it come to life in the games.”

He added, “Bar three overs, I was a little bit off with the second new ball in the first innings, and the second new one in the second innings. Bar three overs I was pretty happy with how the ball came out.”

In the ongoing second Test against India, Starc took 2 for 42 before the break while the touring side is currently trailing by 184 runs with the loss of three wickets in Perth.
