Indian skipper Virat Kohli's superlative slip catch lifted the whole team on the first day of the second Test. Returning from Tea, India needed to capitalize on the pressure they build before the break. The Aussies were at 145/3 at Tea and India struck early as the game started again. It was Ishant Sharma's short delivery that caught Peter Handscomb high on the bat.

The ball was traveling fast to slips and for once it looked like going over Kohli. But Virat stretched himself to pluck it from the air. The timing of the jump was perfect as the ball gets stuck in hand in these types of catches.

Not only this catch pumped up Indian fielders, but Twitter was also impressed with Virat's one-handed catch. The blinder was lauded by the Indian fans as they have been let down many times by the slip fielders.
