Opening batsman Prithvi Shaw resumed running in Adelaide on Monday, December 10, as the youngster strives to fully recover from his ligament injury and start mesmerising everyone with his delightful strokeplay again.

Having made a roaring introduction to the highest level with a debut ton and a Man of the Series award against West Indies, Shaw kickstarted with his tour down under with a fantastic innings of 66 in the tour warm-up versus Cricket Australia XI in Sydney.

But a mishap saw him twisting his ankle very badly on Day 3 of the same encounter, as the official media release from the BCCI on Friday, November 30, stated, "Shaw underwent scans this morning and the reports revealed a lateral ligament injury. Shaw will be unavailable for the First Test against Australia in Adelaide. He will undergo an intensive rehabilitation program to hasten the recovery and be available for selection at the earliest."

But now he got spotted jogging around the sidelines, although still wearing a protective brace, which is still a substantial improvement from last week when he had his left ankle heavily strapped and could only limp around.

"With youth on his side, there might just be a case where he might recover quicker. We'll make a call as and when we get closer to Perth," Indian head coach Ravi Shastri had said on Shaw then.

Well, Ravi would dearly love to have an inform opener back, as he surely hopes for a better show from the current ones.
