Indian cricket team management left many fans stunned on Wednesday (December 4) with their call of leaving Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the squad for the first Test of the four-match Test series against Australia to be played in Adelaide from Thursday (December 6).

On Wednesday, India announced their 12-man squad for the Test series opener, which was quite surprising for many that the Men in Blue will take on the Kangaroos on their soil without their star seamer Kumar.

Many fans have raised the questions over team management’s choice after the squad was announced on social media, as India has shown trust in Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah instead of Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja in the fast bowling department for the Adelaide Test.

Meanwhile, the fans believe that Kuldeep or Jadeja could have been the better choice instead of Ashwin given his poor record in Australia, while the 28-year-old is also a handy batsman down the order, and he could be the perfect replacement for the all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the Playing XI.

India XII:
Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Ravi Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah

Australia XI:
Marcus Harris, Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Travis Head, Tim Paine (c), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood
