Skipper Virat Kohli is extremely determined to set things right and dominate the upcoming 2-month long tour of Australia. The 30-year-old also feels that minimising mistakes and doing "the little things right” remains the key towards fulfiling this objective.

Looking forward to the start of the three-match T20I series at Brisbane on Wednesday, November 21, Virat expressed confidence in his team's ability emphasized faith in the overall quality of the squad.

“We definitely believe we have the quality to do so but it will boil down to how we think in each moment in every test match that we play or every game that we play on this tour," Kohli told the reporters present on Tuesday.

And stressed, “As a whole, throughout the tour, we want to do the little things right and have our focus really precise so that we can win more situations than the opposition.”

Having learnt from the disappointments in South Africa and England, and aware of hosts' constant struggles across all formats, Virat reiterated that India has its best chance to clinch an away Test series against Australia on this trip.

"We don’t want to be a team that wins one odd test match here and there, We have figured out our mistakes in England which, I have mentioned before, were very radical," Virat said, "The quality of cricket was very high but our mistakes were as radical and that’s why we lost the games."

"We won the game in which we committed fewer mistakes. We were at par with the other team throughout."

"I think we have the ability to keep competing with the other team and in test cricket whichever team makes fewer mistakes wins the game. That’s the general rule," he signed off.
