AUS v IND 2018-19: Team India announce 12-member squad for the first T20I

The much-awaited India’s tour of Australia will kick-start with a Twenty20 affair in Brisbane on Wednesday.

Team India on Tuesday (November 20) revealed its 12-man squad for the T20I series opener against Australia. The much-awaited India’s tour of Australia will kick-start with a Twenty20 affair in Brisbane on Wednesday (November 21).

As expected, the 12-member squad include the dynamic trio of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. KL Rahul is also there in the squad along with two wicketkeeper batsmen – Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik.

Krunal Pandya is an only all-rounder in the trimmed list while Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will watch over the spin department. The pace attack comprised of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Khaleel Ahmed.

The official Twitter account of BCCI revealed the team sheet on Tuesday with a caption: “We've announced our 12 for the 1st T20I against Australia at The Gabba #TeamIndia.”
