Former England captain Michael Vaughan has backed Virat Kohli to come out with flying colours during India’s testing tour of Australia, slated to start on November 21 with a T20I affair in Brisbane.

Kohli has taken his batting feats to a different level altogether in 2018. Despite playing the majority of Test matches outside Asia, Kohli is averaging 59.05 in red-ball cricket with over 1000 runs this year, while his ODI average read 133.55 in 14 matches in this calendar year.

As the much-anticipated India’s tour of Australia is fast approaching, the hosts broadcaster ‘FOX SPORTS Cricket’ on Monday (November 11) posted a clip of Kohli’s stellar batting performances in 2018 with a caption: “Will @imVkohli reign supreme in Australia

Quoting the Aussie sports channel’s tweet, Vaughan cheekily wrote: “Yes ...”

It is worth mentioning here that Michael Vaughan is a huge fan of Kohli and often names the Indian captain as the greatest batsman in contemporary cricket.

In the recently concluded five-match ODI series against the West Indies, Kohli scored three back-to-back hundreds and Vaughan termed him as the Greatest of all time (G.O.A.T) on all occasions.

Michael Vaughan’s prediction for Virat’s success in Australia is justified as well. In 8 Tests Down Under, Kohli has scored 992 runs at an outstanding average of 62 with 5 hundreds and 2 fifties. Moreover, the Indian captain has piled up 1001 runs at 50.05 in 23 ODIs on Aussie soil while he averages a whopping 84 in T20I cricket in Australia with 252 runs from 5 matches.
