India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant gets easily excited whenever the ball beats the outside edge or if he hears even the slightest sound. It happened again during the first day's play in the fourth Test when Pant thought India have got a wicket but his teammates in the slip showed no reaction.

Pant was so sure that he was even having a chat with skipper Ajinkya Rahane to opt for DRS and have a look at it. Rahane and Rohit Sharma had a laugh about it, along with the on-air commentators.

It was the 84th over of Australia's innings and captain Tim Paine had put on a decent partnership with Cameron Green. Pacer T Natarajan managed to trouble Paine but failed to get the outside edge. Everyone except for Pant was sure there was no contact with the bat or gloves to refer it to the third umpire.

The incident brought laughter in the commentary box and on the field. Cricket Australia shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "Rishabh Pant was heaps keen on this one but he was getting donuts from the cordon."

At the end of the first day's play, Australia lost 5 wickets on 274 runs. Paine remained not-out on 38 and Green scored 28* for Australia. For India, Natarajan picked up two wickets, and Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar bagged one each.
