AUS v IND 2020-21: WATCH - "Me too" Virat Kohli gestures towards MS Dhoni's fans who miss him

Virat Kohli-led India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.

Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni share a wonderful equation

India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second T20I on Sunday (December 6) at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) to clinch the series with an unassailable lead of 2-0. Chasing 195 to win, India reached their target with two balls to spare after Hardik Pandya smashed Daniel Sams for two massive sixes in the final over.

With this series win, Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to record T20I series victories in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) countries. He also became only the second visiting captain to win a Test, ODI and T20I series in Australia, after Faf du Plessis of South Africa.

Kohli, who took over the white-ball captaincy from MS Dhoni in 2017, still misses the former Indian captain who announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, even though his last match for India was the World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand which ended in a heartbreaking defeat for India.

MS Dhoni's ardent fans at the ground had carried a "We miss you Dhoni" banner with them, and Kohli happened to notice it, and gestured which can be interpreted as "Me too" from a video that is going viral on social media. Here's the video:

Kohli has said in the past that Dhoni will always remain his captain and that he learnt a lot about captaincy from the great man while playing with him for close to a decade.

The third and last match of the T20I series will be played on Tuesday at the same ground, before both teams engage in a four-match Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from December 17.
